TransCorr National Logistics is Named Top Freight Broker for Grand Rapids Area

Grand Rapids Business JournalTransCorr National Logistics was ranked the number one area freight broker in the October 10, 2011 edition of the Grand Rapids Business Journal. TNL’s 2010 revenue was $53.4 million and the company transported over 2 billion tons of  freight. TNL offers truckload, reefer, LTL, dedicated, and flatbed services throughout the United States and Canada.

Gordy Ferguson and Brian Jones stared the third party logistics company in March of 2000. Within 10 years, TNL was amongst the top 30 third party logistics companies in the country. The company employs upwards of 80 workers in their Grandville, Michigan sales and logistics office and has additional offices in Georgia, Missouri, Wisconsin, Ohio, and their newest office in Traverse City, Michigan.

I am on the Project Management team. My home base is in Sales, where I work with the LTL Department, but my main focus is on SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), operational efficiencies, flow chart development, and any other project that comes up that needs creative flair. I enjoy being on the TNL Management Team and look forward to our twice-weekly management meetings where our group works out problems, heads off potential issues, and comes up with new ways to encourage and reward employees. I’m also a total fan of FitCorr, our onsite workout facility. Outside of work, you would be hard pressed not to find me in a dance fitness class. “When in doubt, dance it out.”
